Launching into the market in 2015 with just one product – our 330g signature coffee scrub – C Lab & Co took the world by storm. Not even 12 months after it hit the market, the brand was personally invited to be a part of the 2016 Academy Awards gifting suite, instantly exposing to Hollywood’s elite. This extraordinary publicity saw the scrub become a firm favourite with media and celebrities alike, and it remained in the limelight for over a year.

100 percent natural and vegan-friendly formulation

The success of this launch is testament to our ability to identify (and act on) innovation and trends in the market by producing quality, affordable and covetable products.

At the time, coffee was an upcoming raw material with the global obsession with coffee scrub about to take off. Our point of difference was to package it in a convenient, easy-to-use, recyclable tub, which was the first of its kind (and is still the biggest in the market today).

With a 100 percent natural and vegan-friendly formulation, almost half of our product is real coffee. In addition our beans are sourced from coffee enthusiasts who roast them to a level referred to as “just cracked”, which allows them to retain their natural oils. They’re then further enriched with organic Vitamin E, sea salt and natural essential oils.

Since launch, the brand has expanded to include coconut and travel-sized variants, and two carefully considered body products (a wash and lotion) to complement the range.

Brand extensions are introduced with a clear purpose: to enhance your personal showering routine, not to flood your bathroom with products. There now is a C Lab & Co product to take you through your entire showering routine from exfoliation, to wash and moisturisation.
